You Should Decide

Through the course of your lifetime,
there will be times when you should decide.
By acting with clear initiative,
instead of running off to hide.

It is time to take a stand,
and be firm in what you believe.
For you should decide what it is,
that you would like to achieve.

After comparing the pros and cons,
for options from which to choose.
Certainly listen to opinions,
but you should decide what to do.

Since others cannot live your life,
or be responsible for how it flows.
You should decide upon whether,
to have faith in what you know.

If sometimes you want to question,
about whether you’re right or wrong.
You should decide if it’s true,
by searching within, where it’s strong.

Examine all your emotions,
whether angry, sad or elated.
For you should decide the importance,
of each feeling for how it’s related.

And once you have concluded,
the validity of each choice.
You should decide when to start,
then sit back, relax and rejoice.
