Spiritual/Inspirational Poetry
Why You Do the Things That You Do
Sometimes, you may not know why you do the things that you do,
and are troubled by nagging thoughts of why this happens to you.
Rest assured, that there are millions of others who shuffle through
daily life,
living in a misty fog, unsure how to escape from their strife.
Once you can release your hold on the mechanics of how to live from day
to day,
and learn to relax into the flow of living even when things don't
operate your way.
You will experience the peace and tranquility that seems to elude your
grasp,
whenever things do not live up to their supposedly expected task.
Your intention for why you do the things that you do needs to come
from truth,
and the only way to accomplish this is to examine each motive like a
sleuth.
"Do you do the things that you do in order to please all others?
or is it because you protect yourself and would rather hide undercover?"
Careful scrutiny for what you do is a must for truth to be revealed,
and integrity must surface instead of being concealed.
Truthful knowledge of personal aspects will also help you to gain,
clearer insight for your conduct or why you repeat things again.
Sometimes you may say it is bad luck or even call it bad karma,
but repeated lessons must be learned, as you strive to follow your
dharma.
Or you can blame this purely on fate, which really dis-empowers,
for through each choice that you make it teaches and empowers.
Why you do the things that you do isn't to prove right or wrong,
these show opportunities your soul needed all along.
During these times you may feel confused, uncertain where to turn,
but roadblocks, when encountered, are merely to help you learn.
Eventually you must still your mind obtaining a peaceful state,
it doesn't matter how old you are, because it is never too late.
This can be done through meditation or caught within a dream,
why you do the things that you do is not what it always seems.
Through this state of just "being," further clarity will be
shown,
realization will come to light regardless of what you have known.
Why you do the things that you do sometimes won't make sense,
although through patient indulgence you'll receive recompense.
And only then, through established connection,
as you accept and support new-found perception.
Your life will reverberate vibrant and new,
to reveal why you do the things that you do.
