Take the High Road

When you’re burdened with a heavy load,
think carefully, but then take the high road.
Do not feel sad or become depressed,
let go of feelings that are repressed.

If there are times when you feel confused,
about situations that you must choose.
By reaching out to willingly unfold,
you’ll focus clearly to take the high road.

Dwelling on anger only brings pain,
and nothing positive is ever gained.
It only leads to more sorrow or sadness,
when in your heart there should only be gladness.

So take the high road to shine your light,
where you’ll be bathed in immense delight.
And as you travel along this road,
you’ll feel euphoria with strength that upholds.

Eventually pain or sadness is gone,
for it won’t matter who’s right or wrong.
When taking the high road you will reach a place,
where you bask and remain in a calm state of grace.
