Spiritual/Inspirational Poetry
Power to
Change
The power to change is all in the way,
you perceive attitudes or situations each day.
Change can eat at emotions of shock, disbelief, fear or denial,
that leads to anger and blame, judging as if on trial.
So express your feelings and discuss or write from your very core,
concerns, fears or plans, then dispel anger and close the door.
Identify to overcome obstacles and clarify what you feel today,
think about what you are losing or what is standing in your way.
Empower yourself to know how to control your attitudes and beliefs,
you cannot control external events hoping to always please.
Change your perception to believe that nothing can threaten you,
know you can cope with options succeeding in all that you do.
Identify with opportunities created by change, then wait,
focus on improving and contribute before it’s too late.
Take responsibility for learning all that you can,
challenge yourself with new and exciting skills at hand.
Maintain optimism; be positive to others and you,
expect good things to happen from each situation that’s new.
Care for your emotions by spending time to think and re-assess,
breathe deeply, exercise, sleep and eat foods while at their best.
Build confidence to let your achievements bring you personal pride,
don’t compare yourself to others, let past mistakes flow with the tide.
Enhance creativity by viewing things in new ways,
relax, change your routine and keep a sense of humour as you play.
Develop the will to risk regardless about failure on the whole,
instead, live in the present and remain true to your soul.
Clarify goals and commit to achieving your mission, talents or needs,
then create new opportunities so you continue to proceed.
And welcome the unexpected as you explore to redesign your life,
by participating willingly your heart unfolds to release inner strife.
