Spiritual/Inspirational Poetry
Learning Wisdom
Wisdom is reached when you have learned,
how to forgive or how to discern.
Right from wrong in all that you choose,
and seeing the goodness in all that you do.
Wisdom isn’t how intelligent you are,
although more knowledge may take you far.
What gives you insight and further common sense,
is moving forward or knowing when to relent.
It has nothing to do with being rich or poor,
and status or titles won’t open its door.
Wisdom is learned through the silence within;
surrender, then listen are steps to begin.
Wisdom encompasses a deep inner knowing,
the lessons learned are solely for growing.
And this may happen after turbulent years,
of much soul searching that releases all fear.
Wisdom is reached from the centre of the heart,
for this is where the connection first starts.
It helps if your soul can first rise above,
before filling with peace and unconditional love.
Learning wisdom is what most will now yearn,
although few will realize or ever learn.
But wisdom is simply experiencing each day,
within joyful abundance in more positive ways.
Wisdom combines a higher state of living,
with virtues of love and unconditional giving.
It‘s a chance to reach an elevated goal,
blending the body, the mind and the soul.
