Know Thyself through Numerology
 

Clarification in simple terms
Numerology, also known as Gnothology (pronounced noth-ol-e-jee), is a language of numbers; a system based on energy vibrations.  It is primarily used to unravel the essence of who you are at the deeper, inner-soul level.

Ancient cultures including Chinese, Egyptian, Roman, East Indian, Hebrew and Grecian embraced numerology as a valuable metaphysical science, but now in modern times it is used as a helpful tool for mobilizing self understanding, knowledge and wisdom.  In turn, this endorses better awareness of your personal power, deeper desires, and intrinsic belief system, thus enabling the manifestation for a positive, fulfilling and successful life journey.

In numerology, each letter of the alphabet correlates to a number and each number correlates to an energy vibration of individual meaning, sound and colour.  Scientists deem that everything seen, heard or touched, or basically everything in the universe, consists of energy.  However, each vibrates at its own specific speed or level.

Each number has value and importance, and although one is not to be regarded more important than another, there are certain numbers referred to as Master Numbers that provide greater potential and are meant to give impetus toward serving humanity or improving global issues, thus aiding in universal growth.

Advantages for charting your numbers
The most crucial element toward spiritual growth is to first comprehend human conditioning and to recognize, plus accept the intimate parts of the self.  Your chosen name and birth date are no accident!  It is believed that each soul pre-plans their purpose or destiny for each incarnation, but this can be confused or forgotten through the birthing or manifestation process.

Numerology is used to re-establish conscious awareness by defining your soul’s ultimate intention.  It can expose, as well as answer a multitude of questions – Why is your soul here? …… What has your soul come to accomplish? …… What are your soul’s unique talents? …… What is your soul’s primary goal? …… What is your soul’s destiny or purpose? …… What stumbling blocks must your soul overcome? …… What lessons does your soul need to learn? …… What is the best or most productive way for your soul to complete its chosen destiny? …… Is your soul on track or is it spinning in circles?

Through your birth date and original, plus present birth name, a numerology chart is compiled to outline elements consisting of: spiritual gifts, spiritual identity, natural talents, inherited attributes, personal likes or dislikes, strengths or weaknesses, etc.  The chart identifies specific challenges, possible obstacles, transitions, lessons, past and present karma, compatibility, personal potential, original higher purpose and changes or cycles during your life journey.

A chart can also be used to illustrate how you utilize the energy of your numbers.  To outline where there is an accumulation or dominance of energy or where there is a lack of energy and where there is an imbalance or a balance of energy.

Not a game for future predictions
Although some may believe that numerology is a game of future predictions, this is not really the case.  Timelines may calculate a particular forecast, but these are only guidelines and are not meant to be taken literally or to be used as a daily do or don’t list.

Instead, specific timelines merely forewarn of possibilities in order to present greater understanding or insight as to why setbacks, upheaval or difficulty may be experienced at certain times during your lifespan.  Timelines do not eliminate your soul’s intended experiences or diminish from living a spontaneous way of life.

However, they can point to ways for reducing burdens or they can suggest what or how to focus on in order to overcome or re-balance an unsavoury situation rather than succumb to it.  They also provide an opportunity to make necessary changes in order to improve upon a given circumstance or relationship or to accept a life lesson that needs to be learned at that specific time.

Significance for knowing thyself
Knowing thyself empowers the authentic, spiritual part known as the soul.  Without having clarity, honesty, awareness and acceptance about every aspect of their being, most people would find it difficult to live to their soul’s optimum intention and to transform into their highest potential.

Occasionally a few people may aspire to prominence or enjoy a successful and enriched life, seemingly without much assistance or without incurring many obstacles.  Usually these people are naturally in tune to their inner guidance to which they pay close attention, plus listen to very carefully.  In most cases their numerology chart will confirm that they are very old souls who have returned to be of service to humanity in some capacity.  Their inner guidance is driven by an accumulation of experience, knowledge and wisdom gained over many lifetimes.

Typically, what happens more frequently is that the mainstream of people operates blindly, as if living in a fog, rather than pursue a path that could manifest their truest potential.  They will run in circles to repeat the same mistakes, complain about the same issues and remain unhappily stagnant, as well as totally ignorant about their own characteristics.  Through a lack of knowledge and understanding about themselves, they submit to being their own worst enemy.

To know thyself is all about acquiring self-knowledge and remember that gained knowledge manifests personal power.  Essentially, numerology is a straightforward catalyst for obtaining such knowledge or such power.
