Cards of Life

Life may deal a deck of cards,
to be played with agile finesse.
Although the rules aren’t written in stone,
they must be learned, as well as addressed.

A guarantee isn’t given,
for the deck that you receive.
But as each hand is duly played,
it provides a chance to achieve.

Every deck is slightly different,
with uniqueness built within.
No two decks are exactly alike,
as each new life begins.

The deck of cards can be played for fun,
a sport where you win or lose.
But some may play for power or fame,
it’s a lifestyle that they choose.

Often the deck will spill and spread,
its contents in disarray.
Just be sure to observe the cards,
to understand what they portray.

If you are lucky with what you are dealt,
life can be simply grand.
But fate is not always there to please,
and may not deal a winning hand.

Regardless of this fact of life,
resist throwing in your deck.
Just learn new rules and start a new game,
for intention rewards you in-depth.
