Can You Annoy Your Spiritual Guidance?

"Is it possible to bother or annoy spiritual guidance by asking too many questions?"

This straightforward question was recently posed and evidently is believed by some people. By no means is this a silly query. In fact, I praise the courage that it took to challenge its validity. It does however cause me to chuckle ever so slightly.

Categorically, the answer is simply "No!"

Spirit Welcomes Your Queries
It is impractical to assume that the spiritual realm is only comprised of a handful of guides or angels and that by asking too many questions it may create work overload for spirit or take valuable query time away from another person. Expand your horizon by realizing that spiritual guidance contains a vast conglomerate of energy beings too numerous for humans to envision or comprehend. When you ask a question the answer doesn't necessarily come from one particular spirit guide, although some will emphatically attest to this possibility. Instead, it may be a joint spiritual effort and as long as you resonate to the information and positively benefit from its guidance, why fret about it.

The spiritual realm does not track how many questions you ask – there are no quantity restrictions and there are no time limits. Spirit has unlimited insight that it desires to teach and share with those who seek the truth. It is never an imposition to ask for spiritual guidance as long as your intention is pure and loving. What is more important is the quality of your question and the underlying motive for asking.

Avoid Silliness
Asking silly, nonsensical, ego-driven and material-gain questions or playing "testing" games in which you seek "proof" for spirit's existence should be avoided. Bear in mind that this is radically different than providing "proof of evidence" during a mediumship reading or developing channelling abilities through exercises and rehearsals. Also, avoid expectations for receiving step-by-step "show-me-how-to-do-it-next" type answers. It is more fruitful to ask how you can become a clear and truthful channel for spirit or how you can become an enlightened servant for universal good. Fundamentally, ask what the universe wants of you, not what you want from the universe.

Spirit is Happy to Help
Essentially, the spiritual realm will wholeheartedly help you to grow into a more positive, loving and caring individual who becomes grounded and empowered to live with self-esteem, self-awareness and integrity. But spiritual guidance is most beneficial when it is utilized to receive universal inspirations, higher knowledge or deeper wisdom that will provide greater awareness or understanding towards elevating the consciousness level of humanity and the universal whole.

Advanced Guidance
Some receive advanced guidance through writing inspirational and spiritual books, articles or poetry, while others may receive this through artistic endeavours such as painting, drawing, singing, musical composition, dancing, sculpting, designing, gardening, inventions, photography, healing or teaching. Still others may choose to use spiritual guidance through channelling/mediumship states, in order to bring closure to those suffering from personal loss or tragedy and who are unable or who have no desire to link to spirit themselves.

Free Will Prevails
According to universal law, the spiritual realm complies with non-interference and therefore respects your free will. As a result, it is up to you to request its assistance through asking questions. However, it is prudent to remember the vital importance for developing independent thought, as well as building faith and trust in your own innate abilities. For example, whenever you encounter difficulty, you should first try to resolve the dilemma using your own instinctive resources, as well as learned knowledge, rather than totally relying on spiritual guidance. In other words, resist the temptation for immediately throwing your hands into the air and expecting spiritual guidance to bail you out. This attitude and reaction only creates a "needy and helpless" co-dependent relationship with spirit, which is not only unhealthy, but it is also unnecessary.

You are Spirit
Consider the fact that you are a spiritual energy entity living and experiencing a human existence. Your soul not only wants, but needs to learn lessons and acquire knowledge through experiences in order to raise its consciousness level to a higher, purer energy vibration. Existing within your human shell is your eternal soul or spirit, which is forever connected to a greater universal spiritual consciousness, also identified as God consciousness. Indeed, many are unaware of this connection. It seems rather ironic that as humans we spend most of our life "awakening" to our soul selves and then we painstakingly try to figure out how to reconnect to our spiritual source.

Many Paths Lead to Universal Consciousness
Undeniably, there are many different paths leading to universal consciousness, so part of the learning process is to discover and establish what truly works for you. This entails a personal journey, which can be a very arduous undertaking to which many opt out. Some cite that with hectic schedules it leaves little spare time to dedicate to practice or they have difficulty committing to discipline. Others are unwilling to surrender their tight hold for maintaining "control" in their life. Still, others become disenchanted or frightened and would rather stay in their comfort zone. Consequently, it is necessary to put aside conditioned thinking patterns, release fear and control, as well as remain free from fixed expectations or directives that are steeped in fear, superstition and overly excessive rituals. Instead, take positive right action by just staying open to receive and then have the strength of conviction to listen. Observe with inner clarity, remain open to change, become a humble and willing universal servant, develop awareness to the immediate present, use truthful discernment and be grateful for all blessings received no matter how insignificant they may seem.

When you feel an unswerving passion to follow a certain direction, even though it seems ludicrous, be assured that your soul, as well as your spiritual guidance and the universal consciousness are attuned to one another and are working in unison to enhance your soul's purpose and greater good.

Develop Your Inborn Psychic Senses
In order to re-establish your spiritual link to universal higher consciousness (or super-consciousness), it is necessary to develop your inborn psychic senses. Contrary to what some believe - these are not God-given "gifts." Rather, they are "abilities" that each person naturally possesses, but more than likely will need to develop. Most often these are termed as clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing), clairsentience (clear feeling or sensing), claircognizance (clear knowing), clairambience or clairgustus (clear tasting) and clairalience or clairaroma (clear smelling).

It is through these inborn inner senses that the "higher self" part of your soul communicates to the universal consciousness, and visa-versa, to translate received symbology into useful, comprehensible information. Naturally, this is easier said than done. It takes extreme dedication, patience, perseverance, hard work, trust, faith and much time and practice for its full development. But thankfully you also have assistance through your spiritual guidance team (E.g. personal spirit guides, angels, ascended masters, Divine Source, God, etc.), who are always willingly available. Be aware that without becoming a clear channel, it is difficult to translate spiritual guidance accurately, thus leaving room for misinterpretation or possibly missing assistance completely.

Spirit Eagerly Awaits
As an energy being, you have a direct spiritual connection to everything that exists, whether it is animate or inanimate. You and your surroundings are part of the universal consciousness and it is this state of realization that you strive to find and return to. In reality, the more that you connect and communicate to the spiritual realm, the closer you become.

With this in mind, why would you become bothersome to the universal spiritual consciousness that not only observes your soul's progress, but eagerly anticipates its return to the whole? Your spiritual guidance is only too happy to assist with your soul's positive growth, development and homecoming. So…....go for it! and feel free to ask abundant questions, but remember to be mindful for how and what you ask for.

As a final recommendation, consider offering a daily prayer of thanks and gratitude that encompasses your soul, your spiritual guidance and the universal consciousness. The spiritual realm is not only available to limitless questions, but it is also open to boundless humility.
