Bird Hatching Out of an Egg

Upon contemplation, the purpose of my existence,
is to break out of my shell at my soul’s insistence.

The source of this call is beyond my knowing,
for deep within me, destiny keeps flowing.

But, to keep evolution forever in balance,
I must rise up and meet the challenge.

To discover how to use God given abilities,
I must silence the chatter to develop stability.

Then break my comfort zone with my beak,
to uncover a vast new world to seek.

And from my tiny, warm global domain,
I now spread my wings to make my claim.

To feel and know that being in the presence,
of the sun and stars and also the crescent.

Brings sheer joy and happiness, I must say,
to a small bird, like me, who hatched today.
