Be Pro-active in Your Own Healing Process

Your Participation is Necessary
In order for complete healing to occur on all levels – mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, you must fully participate and take personal responsibility for your recovery and well-being.

If you expect or want someone else to heal you, while you refrain from any involvement because you think that you do not possess the ability to help heal yourself, then you will hinder your healing process and stump your progress.  Each person has vast, untapped inner knowledge and wisdom, which  gives them the capability to heal, but first they must become aware of this gift, then believe it and then act on it.

Basics for True Healing
True healing comes with awareness, focus and intention.  Remember..... all thoughts are energy.  Energy follows thoughts, thoughts become actions and actions become your reality.  I'm sure that you have been cautioned with the old adage, "Be careful what you are thinking" or "Be careful what you wish for."  After-all, you are the creator of your own destiny, whether you are aware of this phenomena or not.

Unconditional Love and Forgiveness Essential
Pro-active healing is a process of demonstrating un-conditional forgiveness for self and others, un-conditional love for self and others and releasing patterns of behaviour or thoughts which no longer benefit your present situation.  It requires tremendous inner strength, determination and dedication, but the outcome is well worth the challenge.

Resist Co-Dependency
A healing practitioner does not possess any greater or special healing powers than you and if you assume otherwise, then you are not behaving pro-actively; rather you have become passive in your thinking and rigid in your attitude.  A proficient healing practitioner will resist forming co-dependency and will instead freely provide encouragement, plus essential knowledge or skills to help you participate in your own healing program.  The only difference between you and your healing practitioner is the amount of knowledge or wisdom each has gained through education, practice and experience.  Begin being pro-active by seeking to learn more knowledge.

Learn and Practice
If you are confused about how to heal yourself, then seek out others who can teach you, but resist the temptation for expecting others to create your healing or to "fix" you.  Instead, empower yourself by taking the time to make a concerted effort to learn, practice and investigate various healing modalities until you find something that is harmonious to your specific needs.

Life-long Learning Experience
Healing is not something that happens overnight.  Expect it to be a life-long learning progression and commitment, where you will be challenged in all areas of your life - diet, exercise, lifestyle, relationships, right-choice, etc. and this is certainly no easy task.  You are also continually susceptible to your surrounding environment, which will always affect your emotions, plus your mental state.

Establish a Daily Routine
Therefore; it is very important for you to develop a specific daily program that will provide you with the necessary tools to remain healthy.  Through following a consistent daily routine, you will automatically have the ability to alleviate stressful situations by reacting from a more positive perspective, thereby remaining in a balanced state under most circumstances.

You may resist believing the truth about being pro-active in your own healing process, but I speak from experience and have had the opportunity to use myself as a guinea pig.  For further clarification, please read my article on overcoming rheumatoid arthritis using alternative therapy.
