A Daily
Protection Plan
As you
start your day, take a few minutes to ground, cleanse and protect
yourself. This is especially important if you are a "sensitive"
who attracts, like a sponge, surrounding energies of lower energetic vibration.
Unfortunately, this can have a detrimental effect that inhibits
maintaining balance in your life or achieving a constant state of
positive well-being.
Are You a
"Sensitive?"
Signs or symptoms indicating you are affected, at an energetic vibrational level, will vary from person to person.
Most often you may feel claustrophobic in crowded areas and choose to
avoid large, noisy crowds. Or while in a crowded environment you
may experience an oncoming throbbing headache or you may start to feel
anxious, tired or overwhelmed (without just cause). Or while visiting a
hospital you may suddenly feel pain or sadness that has no physical or
emotional association to you. Or when you are in contact with
certain people you may feel a sudden drop in energy or a change in
emotional well-being indicating that your energy is being "sucked" or
that you act as a "sponge" to others. These are only a few ways to
recognize that you are like a beacon who attracts lower vibrating energies. But as
long as you maintain awareness and make a concerted effort to practice
daily protective measures, you can avoid encountering unwanted or
unnecessary distress.
As a "sensitive," it is
necessary to implement a protection plan that is adhered to on a daily
basis before you leave your home. It's no different than washing
your face or brushing your teeth each morning. Practicing
haphazardly is not beneficial. Depending on circumstances, it may be
necessary to practice several times throughout the day. Although
this can be done privately, it can also be executed while in close
proximity to others by using visualization methods.
Starting Out
The
following are examples that can be used as part of your daily protection
plan, but feel free to use any method that you feel most comfortable with.
But before you start, take some time to learn how to properly breathe so
that life-force energy can circulate and encourage your body to release,
cleanse and energize, which will promote regeneration and balance.
How to Deep Belly Breathe
-
Inhale and exhale through
your nose (you can use your mouth if it’s easier)
-
As you inhale through your
nose, expand your stomach like an inflating balloon - feel it push
out
-
Then draw your
breath up into your diaphragm. Continue pulling it further up into your
rib cage
-
As you exhale through your
nose, push the air down into your stomach. Suck your stomach
inward toward your spine
-
Count this is one full deep belly
breath
-
Continue inhaling and
exhaling in this pattern for the duration of your meditative state
Grounding Technique
The "tree root" is an
easy and popular method. There are many other methods to choose
from, so use whichever method you find easiest or which resonates with
you.
Tree Root Method
-
Sit comfortably on a chair or you can also
do this standing
-
Close your eyes, take 3-deep belly breaths and
relax
-
Your
intention and focus is to visualize tree roots spreading from your root chakra (the base
of your spine or buttocks) down to the soles of your feet and
continuing to
the centre of the earth
-
See the tree roots spreading out in all
directions, attaching themselves to the earth's centre
-
Feel and
know
that you are grounded firmly to earth energies
Cleansing Technique
The "waterfall/shower" and "dry
brush" are two popular methods to employ. Cleansing can be done during the day, as needed –
monitor your feelings and thoughts for negative changes to your overall
well-being. There are a variety of other methods to choose from,
so use whichever method you find easiest or which resonates with you.
Waterfall/Shower Method
-
Sit comfortably on a chair or you can also
do this standing
-
Close your eyes, take 3-deep belly breaths and relax
-
Visualize standing under a waterfall or shower
(this can be clear, a specific colour or a rainbow)
-
Your
intention and focus is to feel and know that the water is washing and cleansing
away all energy blockages, all lower vibrating energy, plus all toxins from
your body. Know that these will flow to the centre of the
earth to be transformed into higher, finer vibrating energy (also
called positive energy) that will be re-used by
the universe at the appropriate time
-
You can cleanse several times per day if you feel
that you have absorbed outside energies (E.g. you may start to feel
a headache, or your energy may feel drained or you may become
irritable, headachy or uneasy, etc.)
Dry Brush Method
-
From a standing position, use the palms of both
hands and gently brush or "dust" yourself off from the top of your
head to your feet
-
Your
intention and focus is to feel and know
that you are cleansed of all debris,
toxins, energy blockages or lower vibrating energies
-
Feel and
know that the all debris, toxins, energy blockages or
negative energy will flow to the centre of the earth to be transformed into
higher, finer vibrating
energy that will be re-used by the universe at the appropriate time
Protection Technique
The
"bubble" and "deflecting mirror" are two easy methods
to employ. There are many other methods to choose from, so use
whichever method you find easiest or which resonates with you.
Bubble of Colour
-
Close your eyes, take 3-deep belly breaths
(instructions follow) and relax
-
Visualize surrounding yourself in a bubble of
colour – any colour that you are attracted to use; don’t be
concerned about the significance of the colour’s meaning
-
Visualize surrounding the other person in a
different bubble of colour
-
This separates your energy from the other person
-
Know and
feel
that you are always protected from outside lower vibrating energies
(also called negative energies)
Deflecting Mirrors
-
If you require further protection, then after you
surround yourself in a bubble of colour, visualize an armour of
mirrors, facing outwards, surrounding you
-
Your
intention and focus is to feel and know that any lower vibrating energy directed at
you will be deflected up towards the universe to be transformed into
positive energy that will be re-used by the universe at the appropriate
time
Meditation Technique
Do this at a convenient time, but try to practice consistently for
10 to 30 minutes daily to help calm and balance your energy on all
levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. But if your
busy schedule only allots 5 minutes, then do just 5 minutes per day,
which is still more beneficial than doing 1-hour once per week.
It's important to breathe slowly, deeply and rhythmically. This process
takes you from beta state into alpha state or theta state, giving you access
into higher
states of awareness.
Simple 1-2-3-4 Counting Meditation
- (Note: You can increase the
count to 6, 8 or 10 breaths)
-
Turn off your phone and sit
upright in a comfortable chair
-
Dim the lights and play
soft music if you desire
-
Put a light covering on
(your body temperature will drop)
-
Close your eyes, take
3-deep belly breaths (explained as follows) and relax
-
Inhale deeply through your
nose to the count of four seconds 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, while expanding
your stomach, then draw your breath up into your diaphragm and pull
it up into your rib cage
-
Hold for the count of four
seconds 1 and 2 and 3 and 4
-
Exhale through your nose to
the count of four seconds 1 and 2 and 3 and
4, as you push the air down
into your stomach and then suck your stomach in towards your spine
-
Hold for the count of four
seconds 1 and 2 and 3 and 4
-
Each time a thought comes
in, acknowledge it and allow it to go – don’t dwell on it or build
upon it with another separate thought
-
Continue breathing in this
fashion for 10 to 30 minutes
-
Don’t worry about intruding
thoughts, acknowledge them and then let them go; eventually they will stop.
Avoid building upon the intruding thought
-
If you lose count, start
again at number one
-
If you fall asleep, don’t
worry, your body needed additional rest
Daily Affirmations
Remember......you are what you
"think" - thoughts
consist of vibrations or waves of energy, which induce a pattern of
thinking that
promotes action or re-action (whether positive or negative - right or
wrong - good or bad), thus
influencing
manifestation of your present reality. Realize
and remember that you always have the freedom of choice and free-will,
as to which direction you
prefer to follow.
It is important to become
consciously aware of how you think and talk to yourself. Bad
habits are formed from a young age; therefore, unsavoury self-talk is
not readily recognized. How many times have you said to yourself,
“You idiot, why did you do it that way?...... You’re so stupid,
that’s not the right way!…… You dummy, when are you going to learn?......
There's no way I can do this; I'm just not smart enough! ......
You are so fat and ugly!...... He/she is so much smarter or better
than I am...... I'll never be a good as he/she......etc.” If
this isn’t the way that you would talk to, encourage or treat
others, then why criticize yourself with this type of disrespect.
When saying affirmations keep the
first two words in the present tense – "I AM".
Your subconscious mind initiates your request that it is happening NOW.
Using a mirror, look deeply into your eyes and always repeat in the
present tense (E.g. "I AM ……..)." Below are some examples, but feel
free to make affirmations designed to your specific needs.
I THINK - expresses a thought
that is a possibility for the future and is not yet fully believable.
I WILL - expresses a thought that is about to be realized, but
it is not quite ready.
I AM - expresses a thought that is
happening right now, in the present time.
Affirmation Examples:
-
Everyday, in every way,
I AM
getting better and better and better. I feel this, I know this
and it is so
-
I
AM healthy, safe and secure at all
times
-
I AM beautiful/handsome and
I AM perfect in every way
-
I AM very intelligent, in which
I have the ability to learn or do whatever I desire
-
I
AM
accepting full responsibility for my own healing process on all
levels (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual), to improve
my daily well-being and my quality of life
-
I
AM
protected and free from other people’s lower vibrating energies and
I
AM always protected from negative cords or hooks attaching
to my body
-
I
AM
acknowledging and releasing all toxins, lower vibrating energies and
blockages from my body. These flow freely through my foot chakras
to the centre of the earth to be transformed into higher, finer
vibrating energy
that will be re-used by the universe at the appropriate time
-
I
AM the master of my own destiny.
I AM empowered with self-esteem, self-confidence and
self-love and I AM creating a fulfilling life blessed with
abundance
Overall Benefit
Naturally, as with all good
things, to really benefit the effects of daily protection, conscious
time and effort is required. It is necessary to maintain
discipline, dedication and determination, but once a conducive strategy
is developed, one that you can willingly adhere to, you will reap grand rewards.
No longer will you be a prisoner or victim of your "sensitive" nature,
but instead you will have the tools and ability to maintain, plus enjoy
the power of personal
freedom.
